Don’t call same client a jerk for never texting you back. 4. Don’t believe client when he says he really, really wanted to call. 5. Remember, the client is always right—so you can’t junk punch him when he demands new design after new design. 6. Ignore accelerated heartbeat every time sexy client walks into room. 7. Susan's Review:

https://www.goodreads.com/review/show/1871171625

I give The Rule Maker 5 stars for providing a great story, easy read, and a feel-good romance. It was a great way to spend the day, focussing on the rules: Never break the five commandments of the office.

Jennifer Blackwood has written a great, feel-good romance. The characters are fun and witty, the plot interesting and dealt with some life issues, such as disability, family dynamics, and more.

Ryder and Zoey had met months before his brother hired her for this particular project. They had a one night stand with no communication after. When he shows up at her office as a replacement CEO for his brother, she is less than thrilled. She decides to design, implement, and get the hell out. Can she stick to the plan?

Zoey Reynolds, works as a designer with a top-tier design firm on the West Coast. She has been hired by Jason Covington to re-design the lodge he just purchased. She will need to keep the office’s five commandments in mind during this project. The Client is always right. Don’t piss off the Client. Don’t sleep with the Client. Always remain professional. The Client needs to be 100 percent in love with the finished product. So far she was batting five for five. Would she be batting six for six at the end of this?

Ryder Covington, twenty-five year old pro snowboarder who wanted nothing to do with the family business. Relationships were not his thing. He loved women, respected the hell out of them, but wasn't ready for someone else’s toothbrush in his bathroom. In comes Zoey; his little box of TNT, brilliant, intense, and dangerous as hell. Will he light the fuse and suffer the repercussions?

The Rule Maker is a contemporary romance novel. It's about getting a second chance at love, and discovering what you want in life. A real feel good romance.

I really enjoyed this book.
