Intertwined is a superbly written, intense read. The characters in this story are forced to meet their demons head on and make hard choices in order survive. Love and trust are tested and mistakes are made. What they do to repair the damage makes this heart-stopping romance swoon-worthy and come to life. Shit gets real in this book!
It’s an amazing feeling when you sit down to read a book by an author who you love and her new book grabs you from the first pages. Sasha has written another emotional, angsty romance where the characters have lived through hell, have all but given up on any chance of happiness and who are continuing to self-destruct. Together they work at tackling their past and learning how to move past it.
Liam and Isla were introduced in Blended, the first book in The Redemption Series. Isla is a tough, hard-as-nails, say-it-like-it-is, very protective employee and best-friend of Waylon Brass. Liam is Waylon’s other best-friend who has suffered through a lifetime of lies and has turned to drugs and alcohol to help him forget his pain. He has shut himself off emotionally in an attempt to protect his heart and his mind from future hurt.
College friends with occasional benefits has been their mantra for 10 years but as the two of them try to keep their walls erect, little by little those walls start to crumble as love starts to blossom until they get to the point of no return. Can they walk away from each other and stifle the feelings that have grown between them?
Liam and Isla have an amazing chemistry and very healthy sex drive. Just a look can start a night of passion. This makes for some very interesting reading and Sasha has done a great job describing their sexcapades. Liam earns the nickname dickweed in this book and it is well earned. Watching him redeem himself will make your panties melt and start you drooling. Isla is one very lucky woman.
Intertwined is part of a series of standalone books with related characters. Your experience may be enhanced by reading the books in order but it is not necessary. Intertwined is far more than a romance, it’s a suspenseful, heart-wrenching, emotional roller coaster full of surprises, twists and turns. Sasha keeps your interest to the very last word and starts your craving for the next book in the series.
