This was the first novel I read in the Bachelor Auction series and even though it was the forth book I was able to read it without any issues.
I really enjoyed the light comical feel of this novel. It was a nice escape into the lives of Alex and Morgan. Right from the start we see that Morgan uses her wit and sarcasm to hide the pain from a broken engagement. Being a Boston socialite she is in the public eye and has to guard herself from the gossip. She attends a Bachelor auction and is determined to win a date to prove she is over it all. Well that is until she discovers that the bachelor that she has won is the rude man that she met just moments before. Alex is acting CEO of his family company. He is grump and just down right unpleasant, especially towards woman, well Morgan. From the moment he meets her he finds that her sharp tongue annoying and believes that she is nothing but another socialite gold digger.
In a twist of events Alex becomes Morgan's boss. And it is though that they make an agreement that will help him keep his company and her keep the building that her foundation is in.
I give this novel four stars because I really enjoyed watching these two characters grow from distain towards one another into a romantic relationship.
