Betrayal by blood cuts the deepest.
Teller’s found his ride or die girl. The light Charlotte brings to his life has touched the darkest parts of his soul. But a devastating secret from her past resurfaces to threaten their future.
Every truth can be erased with one lie.
When a sinister truth is exposed, it forces Charlotte to question everything about herself. Even whether she’s worthy of Teller’s love.
The darkest betrayals never come from your enemies.
With Teller’s love roaring louder than the lies, Charlotte can finally put her demons to rest. But has too much damage been done for her to prove her loyalty to the Lost Kings?

Beyond Reason is the continuation of Teller's story that was started in Beyond Reckless, so with that being said yes you need to have read Beyond Reckless or there is no sense in trying to read this novel. Also I suggest starting with book one in this series in order to really enjoy and understand just what is going on though. No if you just want to read about Teller, then you can certainly do that, Autumn does an outstanding job giving back story and does something that I have never seen before, she gives a wonderfully detailed glossary in the start of the novel.
How can I put into word just how perfect this novel was in giving us more of the story of Teller and Charlotte? I have been trying to figure that out since I finished. Ever since I stumbled across Autumn's Lost King series a last year or so ago, I have been waiting for Teller's story. When I got Beyond Reckless, I just couldn't wait to see what Autumn had in store for us. And as I said in that review I was no disappointed. I did hate the waiting to see how it all played out with the story being put into two parts. Now after reading part two I am so glad that she did it this way. We were able to get so much more of the story and have all things wrap up without being rushed. This story gave us all the answers that we had been waiting for from part 1. I loved how this time around we get so much more then just jerk Teller (who we have seen way to much of in other novels and in part 1). We also get to see so much more of Charlotte. I do not like to give things away but I will say that her conversation with Wrath after the vote has to have been one of my top ten favorite moments in the Lost King's worlds. We get so much more interaction with Teller and Murphy in this novel as well. There is just something about the way all the Lost Kings joke around and torment each other that makes you want to just read it over and over.
I think the one thing that has kept me hooked on the series and that follows though in this novel as well it the connection among all the "brothers" in the MC. She has created such a group with strong ties to each other that you can not help to but be dragged into their world. I find myself getting invested in each and every one of the brothers and their storylines. Each novel not only gives you a story of one brother but we still get to see so much of all the other characters as well. I can not wait to see what is next in the Lost King world.
