Second Chance With A Highlander
Second Chance with a Highlander is exactly that, a story about second chances at both life and love. Second Chance follows Kate, a modern day woman, and Connor, a Scottish Laird from centuries past. Upon her deathbed, Kate is transported to the past where she meets Connor and has only so long to make a decision to either move on to the afterlife or have a life with Connor. It was funny when you read Kate's mindset on how to try and proceed with the time period she was sent too and Connor's reaction to it. Let's face it, a modern day, spirited woman in historical Scotland without a filter for her mouth is highly entertaining, especially when you throw in a fiercely protective man. There was also an unexpectedly wonderful twist at the end of this story that could not have ended better (sorry, can't give it away and spoil it!).
Highland Tides by Chance
Highland Tides by Chance is the second novel in S.R. Mitchell's modern/historical Highland Chance Series. This is about Anna, a lonely woman who is taking a European cruise she was supposed to go on with her sister, Elle, who recently passed away. Who should show up but said deceased sister! And Elle has plans for Anna. Elle transports Anna back into historical Scotland where she is saved by Hamish, a full blooded Scottish warrior and the two begin a romance. But unlike the first novel Mitchell's twist comes sooner than anticipated and is completely unexpected. Really recommend this book for the romantic at heart.
A Chance to Love a Highlander
A Chance to Love a Highlander is the third book in S.R. Mitchell's Highland Chance series and it was by far my favorite! Elle and Mikel are cut from the same cloth. They're both highly passionate people and shameless flirts. When they finally get to meet each other face to face in this book it's instant chemistry and from there a series of hilariously jealous taunts towards each other ensues. This novel was highly entertaining and I really recommend it for anyone who has both the romantic and funny bone in their body
